How we became Junior Road Safety Officers
- Firstly everyone got an application form so we could have a chance of becoming a Junior Road Safety Officer.
- Secondly we gave in our slips to apply for the job.
- The governors , Mr Sumner our Headteacher and Mrs Sheridan our Deputy Headteacher chose an applicant from each Year 5 class and each Year 6 class.
We Became Junior Road Safety Officers
- We were told that we had to go to Mrs Sheridan’s room.
- Then we became the Junior Road Safety Officers at Overchurch Junior School.
- We talked about what we would do during the year and about the travel plan.
What we wanted in the area
- To increase the number of children cycling to school.
- To reduce the amount of cars speeding on roads near the school.
- To improve parking close to the school.
What we did?????
- We posted letters for the residents including the people who live in the Overchurch. The letters were about parking in the area.
