School Uniform

Clothing for school:

The wearing of school uniform is not compulsory.  Children are however, expected to come to school suitably dressed; we do appreciate your co-operation in this matter.  Green sweatshirts or cardigans embroidered with the school logo and school ties are available to purchase from the school office.  White polo shirts with a green embroidered logo are also available.  The above clothing may be worn with grey or black trousers or skirts.

Swimming, PE and Games form part of the school curriculum and suitable clothing and footwear is necessary.  For guidance, listed below are the items required together with suggested colours where new articles are being purchased:

When the children take part in outdoor games they may be required to have football boots - please wait for the class teacher to indicate this before purchasing any.  During Winter time we advise children to bring in old tracksuits for outdoor games.  Swimming kit is a costume and towel for the girls and short trunks with netting inside for the boys, plus a towel.  We try to discourage the bringing of toiletries.

Wherever practicable personal belongings and all clothing, including coats should be clearly marked with your child's name.  This is particularly important for PE and Games kit.  It would be appreciaetd if a draw string bag, also clearly named could be provided.

We request that children do not bring large bags or rucksacks into school as cloakroom space is limited.  A small bag / rucksack just large enough for a packed lunch and book bag would be greatly appreciated.

We would also ask that children do not wear make-up or jewellery to school.  If your child has to wear earrings, please ensure they are small studs and that they can be taken out for PE and Games.  A small box to keep them safe is a good idea.
